The PADI Search And Recovery Speciality Course is not just designed for the treasure seekers amongst us (beware the receiver of wrecks would not be too pleased if you dont get permission first), it is also a practical course where you can learn to locate and lift objects from underwater, maybe you lost an anchor or even worse an outboard motor then this course will teach you the skills that will be required to bring the object up safely whilst keeping damage to the environment and your dive buddies to a minimum.
During the PADI Search and Recovery Speciality you will learn how to locate large and small objects using tried, tested and proven search patterns, how to raise these objects to the surface in a safe and controlled manner, which knots are best for which situation, lifting bag techniques and how to forsee and how to deal problems. One of the strangest things about this indepth course is that one day what you learn you will most likely put into practice to locate something that you have lost yourself.
