The PADI Rescue Diver course will build upon your present diving skills and give you foresight into identifying and managing those problems and issues before they occur. The course can best be described as physically and mentally demanding but this is what makes the PADI rescue Diver course fun almost every PADI diver who is certified as a rescue diver or above say that this course is the most fun and rewarding course that they have taken.

 You can earn confined water and knowledge review credit towards the PADI Rescue Diver course while still taking the PADI Open Water course. This works by crediting you with the necessary modules for completion of PADI Rescue Diver at a later date (within 12 months) and being certified as PADI Adventure Diver with Navigation as an Adventure dive or as a PADI Advanced Open Water diver.

 The PADI Rescue Diver course is built up of 5 rescue training sessions that can take place either in confined water or confined open water. Each of these rescue training sessions is then backed up by 5 knowledge review sessions positively enforcing home what was covered in the earlier confined water rescue training sessions.

 We then go onto a further 4 open water rescue scenarios covering everything from distressed diver on the surface right the way to inwater first aid and exiting an unresposive diver.

 The pre-requisites for the PADI Rescue Diver course are that the student is a minimum age of 16 and has a signed medical statement by a licensed doctor declaring fitness to dive and also has proof of certification as an Emergency First Responder (or recognised equivalent) combined with either PADI Adventure Diver with Navigation as an adventure dive or PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent grade from another recognised diving agency.

 Course fee for the PADI Rescue Diver includes PADI Rescue Diver Crew Pack (Manual and DVD) as well as all instruction by a PADI professional instructor in classroom, confined and open water, equipment hire and PADI certification fees.

Emergency First Response

 The Emergency First Response (EFR) course is essential to completing certification for the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course is not however aimed solely at divers, the EFR course is a primary care first aid course and is equally at home in the workplace, the home and in all other walks of life and is internationaly recognised by many countries.

 During the course you will learn Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Emergency First Response Secondary Care (first aid) you will also be taught to conduct the recommended Automated External Defibrillator (AED), emergency oxygen delivery and conscious choking management skills.
