 The PADI Deep Diver Speciality takes your knowledge of diving a step further by applying techniques and considerations that are specific to deep diving. The Diving in Murcia is ideal for the PADI Deep diver speciality.

 During the PADI Deep diver speciality course it will give us the opportunity to teach the considerations that apply for varying depths of deep diving. On completion of the PADI Deep Diving Speciality your certification and experience gained on this course will have you planning and executing deep dives safely within recreational diving limits.

 Maybe you are a kind of diver who is wanting to explore what its like deeper down in our oceans, maybe there is a specific wreck or drop off you want to dive which is beyond your present training, then the PADI Deep Diver speciality is the course for you. After you have completed your deep diving course these things will be in your reach.

 The purpose of the PADI Deep Diver Speciality is for divers to become accustomed with deep diving techniques which include procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and enjoyment of diving between the depths of 18 meters and 40 meters staying within recreational diving no decompression limits. Learn how to use DSMB's (delayed surface marker bouys) come up using free water ascents as well as knowing when and where to do mandatory safety stops.

 During the course you will become familiar with the planning and organising of deep dives, depth limitations, equipment specifics relating to the planned dive, deep diving techniques, nitrogen narcosis and how to recognise and overcome it, indepth use of the recreational dive planner and the PADI eRDP Multi Level dive planner, travelling at altitude after the dive, emergency equipment needs considerations as well as post dive procedures.

 Most of this we will discuss before and after the dives to re-inforce knowledge development of the practical applications, however it is also essential that we also discuss some things in the classroom too using visual aids.

 The pre-requisites for the PADI Deep Diver Speciality course are that the student is a minimum age of 16 and has a signed medical statement by a licensed doctor declaring fitness to dive and has proof of certification as a PADI Adventure Diver or have the equivalent qualification from another training organisation similar to a PADI Advanced Open Water. We do recommend the PADI Wreck diver Speciality to students as a natural accompaniment to the Deep diver speciality course as many wrecks are found at the limits of recreational diving depths but this is not a pre-requisite.

Knowledge review sections, these will be completed by the student using the home study method of learning. On completion of the knowledge reviews the student and your PADI Speciality Instructor will together review and correct any errors which at the same time will enforce the knowledge development process on the students behalf.

Whats involved in the PADI Deep Diver course.

  • 4 Open Water deep dives from a boat
  • Dive 1 must be conducted between 18 meters and a maximum of 30 meters.
  • Dive 2 must be conducted between 18 meters and a maximum of 24 meters.
  • Dive 3 must be conducted between 30 meters and a maximum of 40 meters.
  • Dive 4 must be conducted between 18 meters and a maximum of 30 meters.

On Payment of the course fee the student will receive the PADI Deep Diver Speciality Manual and DVD for home study (which you will keep) and also covers Equipment hire, boat transport to and from dive sites, PADI Speciality Instruction and cover your PADI deep Diver Certification fees.

 The PADI Deep Diver Speciality Course counts towards the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating, the highest non-professional diver rating within PADI. If you have completed 5 PADI Specialties as well as the PADI Rescue Diver course and have 50 logged dives, you qualify to register for Master Scuba Diver certification.
